	The Cooley~Keegan Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann ~ and ~ The Freight & Salvage Coffee House Are pleased to present An Introduction to Irish Music for Kids An afternoon full of traditional Irish music, song and dance, intended for kids from the ages of 7 to 16. Activities will include demonstrations by local musicians of many of the traditional instruments (harp, fiddle, accordion, bodhrán, flute), introduction to the styles and rhythms of the music, a lesson on the tin whistle (including a whistle for each participant to keep), and learning an Irish song and traditional dance. If some participants are already proficient on an instrument (at least 2 years of experience), bring them along! We will lead a group learning Irish tunes and playing session style as a group. When: Saturday, October 13th, 2007 Where: The Freight and Salvage Coffee House 1111 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA Time: 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM Admission: $20 for the first child; $10 for each additional sibling Parents or guardian must accompany their children to the event.
