San Francisco Celtic Music and Arts Festival The Cooley-Keegan Branch thanks Eddie Stack and the Irish Arts Foundation for this wonderful event. During its tenure of ten years this festival showcased top traditional musicians from Ireland and other Celtic points, many of whom are legends in this genre. Slow Music Seisiúns


The Plough and Stars For more than 25 years this pub has been a premier venue for Irish traditional music, dance, and song. Kevin Keegan played nightly at The Plough during the 70's. Cooley-Keegan branch set dance and listen to world-renowned artists here regularly.

91.7 Radio KALW. "Folk Music & Beyond" every Saturday afternoon, 3 to 5 pm. "The Thistle and Shamrock" airs on this station every Sunday afternoon.

Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Regional Archive. Large archive at County Clare CCÉ related to County Clare traditional music. is a great reference for anything related to Irish music.

Green Linnet - The CD label for hundreds of Irish traditional albums. If you check the label on your CDs, you will be astonished to learn Green Linnet is the name much of the time. This is also a great site for reading the discography of many bands.

Ainm Music Ltd. - This is a great source for hard to find music and videos for set dancing and céilí dancing!  You can also listen to an assortment of MP3 tracks and preview all sorts of offerings on this site.

Aniar Records - This is where "Jody's Heaven" recordings featuring Jack Gilder and Junji Shirota can be found. They also have other great Irish music recordings available.

Irish Traditional Music in the San Francisco & Monterey Bay Areas is Jim Scarf's website for Irish Music. Jim's specialty is Cape Breton music and his site is rich in content.
