Singing Seisiún

The Cooley~Keegan branch plays host to a monthly singing seisiún. The seisiún is always on the First Friday of the month, and will generally start singing at 8:00pm unless otherwise specified. The locations will vary.

The songs that we sing are generally Irish in origin, but we have had from time to time sung Scots, Welsh, English and Cape Breton tunes. We do not limit ourselves to songs either, and we have some wonderful story tellers, sean nos singers, and poets in our group.

We are working on getting an 'official' list of tunes together so we all have the same version. We will also try to compile a list of suggested CDs that these songs are on.
